Games already!
By: Martyn | July 13th, 2008It’s difficult to write much about pre-season friendlies, because well, they never end up being great indicators of anything. Nonetheless, winning them and scoring goals is pleasing to see, but your already dodgy goalie dropping yet another clanger isn’t. These two split the squad up as well, so you can’t even gauge any earlier thinkings of Dave Jones regarding starters and tactics. The same questions will persist until the opening game of the season: 
- Who’ll start at left-back?
- Who’ll start in goal?
- Who will start/can we accommodate up front?
- Will Parry drop back to the flanks rendering Whittingham’s starting role futile?
- Is this one of the best squads we have ever had?
