Transparent Pete gets a ventriloquist, and Cooper says ‘No(r) way’
By: Martyn | July 29th, 2008
I’m not quite Trevor McDonald, and this is more like the news at twenty to seven, but…
Dong!
Man’s favourite Fab Four song is Norwegian Wood
Kenny Cooper is all set to shun us as he lusts after League liaisons with the likes of Strømsgodset, Aalesund and Bodø/Glimt… yum!
Dong!
Eddie Murphy set for Manchester meet
Jimmy smells money, and boy does it smell good!
Dong!
Orville’s owner on-board
Keith Harris has joined the board of directors. Given how impressive his CV is in the murky waters of football business, you’d have to see this as a cultivating coup for Cardiff City FC. Without willing to sound like some naive idiot who believes statements such as Sam Hammam’s ‘We’ll be bigger than Barcelona’, Harris has the know-how and contacts to turn us into an effectively run and market bossing power. A club on the way up has to adjust itself for such a step, and if Harris can plug the gaps and fill the niches, exciting times could lay ahead. Just one question though, posed through teeth so gritted they’re nigh-on cemented together: how much is he being paid? Don’t expect this stat to trickle out anytime soon folks.
Dong!
Swindon are one ahead of Amsterdam giants
And finally, tonight’s clash with Swindon is the undercard for Friday’s fantasy footy feast against Ajax! Van Basten vs. Jones! The club of Dutch greats such as Johan Cruijff and Frank & Ronald De Boer vs. the club of Dutch not-so-greats as Iwan Redan and Winston Faerber! Watch as our defence struggles and toils against current Ajax demi-Gods such as erm, Albert Luque, Jurgen Colin and Dennis Rommedahl.

Apparently Cooper’s team, Dallas FC, aren’t going to sell him to anyone so at least you didn’t lose out on him.

That’s true to an extent, but we’re still losing out on having a striker getting to know his colleagues names before the seasons starts!
